Kid Fun…for FREE!

Sure, you can find tons of ways for your kids to have fun this spring…but how many of them will cost absolutely zero dollars? Carmelina talked to 2 KASA Style about some of these awesome hidden freebies waiting for you and your kidlets.

Play Time!
Through the Albuquerque Theatre Guild, groups of up to four middle- and high-school students (plus an adult chaperone) can attend free productions of plays such as Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr.and meet the cast and get behind-the-scenes info with exclusive Q&A sessions.

Zip To It
The city has around 40 well-maintained, kid-tastic parks that are made for active play. The newest—at Osuna and Vista del Norte—was unveiled just days ago, and it boasts the longest kiddie zipline in Albuquerque.

Beyond Books
We’re lucky when it comes to libraries…because, not only can your child explore the wide and wonderful world of reading with access to thousands and thousands of books, he or she can also get involved in any of our libraries’ free events. Storytimes, music classes, hands-on crafting opportunities, and science shenanigans are just a few of the awesome options.

Museum Madness
Many of the city’s museums open their doors to little ones (and their families!) for free at least once a month. See some art, delve into history, experience a balloon’s gondola, hear live music…yep, it all costs you nada.
